“Your design is heavenly”

When people look into heaven, some people see nothing special. Even though it's the air we breath, it's so dull and boring that some people say it doesn't exist.

“What the client wants is something satanic”

When you look into hell you burn your eyes out, because it's so full of firey flair. This is what the client wants.

“Something devilishly firey, flairy and flashy”

Or something striking and sickly slick. The client wants to weaken his customers. He wants to inspire lust, greed and envy. He wants them to buy his product whether they need it or not. Like the devil's advocate, he doesn't like your design; but it's his fault, not yours.
